Joonwoo Bahn, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Convergence Medicine at Asan Medical Center, Korea, where he also serves as Director of the Clinical Research Center and Clinical Trial Center, and Head of Convergence Medicine.

Before his current position, he spent fourteen years in the pharmaceutical industry at AstraZeneca and Gilead Sciences. At AstraZeneca Korea, he led the Medical team including Clinical Operations, and at Gilead Sciences he led the Medical Affairs, overseeing activities in Korea and several countries across Asia.

Dr. Bahn received his MD and PhD degrees from Seoul National University and completed his clinical training at Seoul National University Hospital, including internship, residency in Internal Medicine, and fellowship in Allergy. He later served as an Assistant Professor specializing in Allergy and Respiratory Medicine at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital.
