Marian Lieschke is the Head of Department for the Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit, located at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre . The PCCTU serves the 3 hospitals of the Melbourne’s Parkville Precinct, and is one of the largest trial units in Australia. Marian is an oncology nurse has been involved in Clinical Trials for over 25 years and remains passionate about Clinical Trials as an alternate clinical pathway for patients . As a site manager, she believes in education as the key to success. She is one of the founders of the Australian Clinical Trials Education Centre, A-CTEC; she developed and chairs the SKILLED internship program, which offers scientists a pathway into the Clinical Trials industry, and she developed and published a business course for Research Managers.
