Dr. Carren Teh is an accomplished ORL–Head & Neck Surgeon, clinical researcher, and healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience in medicine. A graduate of the University of Malaya (MBBS, 2003), she went on to obtain her Master’s in ORL-HNS in 2011 and later completed her Ph.D. in 2023, focusing on Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), reflecting her deep interest in complex vestibular disorders.
Her clinical career has been largely shaped at Hospital Sungai Buloh, where she served from 2011, culminating in her role as Head of the ORL-HNS Department. In 2025, Dr. Carren was appointed Director of the Institute for Clinical Research (ICR), where she now drives national efforts to strengthen clinical research and innovation in Malaysia. Known for combining clinical precision with compassionate care, she continues to see patients regularly, maintaining hands-on practice alongside her leadership responsibilities. She is also an active educator, serving as a lecturer at Taylor’s Medical University and mentoring the next generation of clinicians and researchers.
