Noor Ani Ahmad is currently the Director of the Institute for Public Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia. She is a medical doctor with Masters in Public Health with sub-specialty in Family Health. She has experience in the implementation of community-based survey at national level since 2005 and had led or been involved in the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) since 2011. She is also the Country Lead for two internationally collaborative studies namely, International Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Survey in the Time of COVID019 (i-SHARE) and Cognitive Testing of a Survey Instrument to Assess Sexual Practices, Behaviours, and Health-related Outcomes: WHO Muti-countries Study (CoTSIS).
Noor Ani has authored more than 100 publications, locally and internationally. She is the Associate Editor of the Asia Pacific Journal of Public Health (SAGE Publication) and Fellow of the College of Public Health, Academy of Science Malaysia and Fellow of the Public Health Physician Association.
