Dr. Khairul Azmi Ibrahim is a senior consultant neurologist at Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah, Kuala Terengganu, and currently serves as Head of the Clinical Research Centre and Head of Neurology Services for the Ministry of Health Malaysia. He obtained his medical degree from University College Cork, Ireland, and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. He became a certified neurologist in 2015 after subspecialty training under the Ministry of Health. His primary area of expertise is stroke medicine, with fellowship training in the United Kingdom and additional experience in Thailand. Dr. Khairul has participated in several international clinical trials, including RESPECT ESUS and TICH studies, and has co-authored over 20 neurology publications. He is actively involved in professional societies and currently serves on the executive committee of the Malaysia Stroke Council.
