Dr. Mitsumi Terada is the Section Head of the Asian Partnerships Section, Department of International Clinical Development, National Cancer Center Hospital, Japan. He is a gastrointestinal surgeon by training and previously worked in gastric cancer surgery before joining the EORTC as a medical research fellow in 2017. His current work focuses on developing academic clinical trial collaborations across Asia through the ATLAS project, including multinational investigator-initiated trials, governance development, and international partnerships. He is also active in patient-reported outcomes and quality-of-life research, including an international collaborative study to update the EORTC QLQ-STO22 gastric cancer module.
