Mr. Samiran is a passionate clinical research professional by choice—not by chance—with nearly two decades of diverse global experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry.
He is a pharmacy graduate with a postgraduate qualification in clinical research from India and has built a distinguished career across multiple geographies, including India, the Middle East and North Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Samiran has held leadership roles within both sponsor and CRO environments, including leading pharmaceutical organizations such as Novo Nordisk and global CROs like IQVIA.
In his current role, Samiran heads the Clinical Development Centre (CDC), Malaysia for Novo Nordisk, overseeing a regional cluster covering Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. The CDC is an integral part of Novo Nordisk’s global R&D organization. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Samiran reports to the global headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
